Flight preparation is a matter of connecting the right information to the flight ahead. AnaOps is planned to help pilots bring that picture together, with the original sources in view.

The problem

Many sources. One flight to prepare.

Flight preparation draws on many sources. Finding the information that applies to a particular flight, and keeping its source in view, takes time.

A notice may affect the destination, a weather change may alter the plan, and a procedure may add a constraint. Switching between documents and services makes it harder to see how those pieces relate. The need is a briefing that helps the pilot review what matters without hiding uncertainty.

The direction we are exploring

AnaOps is planned to bring together the points a pilot needs to know and check before a flight: NOTAM, weather, aerodromes and operational constraints. The pilot remains responsible for the preparation and decisions.

What we want to make clearer

These are design intentions for the planned product, not features available today.

  • Put information in context

    The intended focus is the flight being prepared: the aerodromes involved, relevant notices and the operational constraints that deserve attention.

  • Keep the source visible

    A useful briefing must make it possible to return to the original information and check its applicability. A summary alone is not an authority.

  • Support the pilot’s review

    The aim is to organise what needs checking, not to declare a flight safe or take the decision away from the pilot.

Its place in ANA

AnaOps is the preparation part of ANA. AnaMet is intended to provide the weather perspective; AnaDoc addresses operator procedures. AnaLog remains the flight record. Connections between these products are planned, not available integrations.
